An herbaceous perennial, both Monarda fistulosa and Monarda citriodora grow in the same conditions.  Locally they are doing okay, in a sandy loam, with daily water keeping the soil moist with a light mulch.  She will tolerate some drying out and full sun.  I must admit, I have had some challenges getting her going and flowering.  She may still need some adjusting because I believe she should be larger.  She is about 18” tall in my garden, this year I’ll see how she does.
