An herbaceous perennial that takes three years to mature before harvesting the roots for medicine.  Personally, I have not been able to get her to grow that long, but I continue to work at it.  I think she will do better in afternoon shade; however, the seed pack says full sun, average soil, and good drainage, flowering to 6’.  She gets moderate water in the garden, but I may have to increase it to get her robust and happy.
