An herbaceous annual, dill likes moist feet and full sun with a rich composted soil.  Sometimes she will not germinate because the soil surface is too dry.  Do your best to remedy this.  You can lightly mulch it, or I use an Agribon 19 to keep in the heat and hold the moisture on the surface until she germinates.  Best if direct seeded but I will transplant too but the roots are weaker.
